Position Overview:

We seek a dedicated and organized Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the legal field, supporting our attorneys and paralegals in delivering exceptional service to clients. While no prior experience is necessary, a commitment to excellence and a proactive attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Collection and File Management: Assist in gathering, organizing, and maintaining legal documents and case files to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • File Clerk Duties: Maintain an organized filing system, both electronic and physical, to support efficient case management.
  • Courier Services: Safely and promptly deliver legal documents to courts, clients, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Administrative Support: Handle office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars.
  • Additional Administrative Tasks: Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly.
  • Travel Arrangements: Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events.
  • Document Preparation: Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position.

Compensation:

$10 - $13 hourly
