Position: Network Security Engineer
Type: Long Term Contract
Location: Fort Mill, SC / Austin, TX / San Diego, CA / New York, NY
Pay Range: $50/hr - $55/hr on W2 only.

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Operations organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in network security, cloud solutions, and automation tools, while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role involves maintaining secure network operations, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a hands-on, white-glove customer service experience supporting enterprise environments.
  • Manage on-premise and cloud-based computer networks with a focus on Network Security (Firewalls, Load Balancing).
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve security-related issues; design and implement network security solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers on technical tasks and project delivery.
  • Coordinate changes across multiple systems, following change control and release processes.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, and security standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree or technical institute degree/certificate, or equivalent work experience.
  • Firewall Technology (On-Prem & Cloud): Cisco FTD, Palo Alto (highly desired), AWS and Azure native firewalls (plus).
  • Network Security Products: DDoS, Proxy, VPN, Firewall Orchestration.
  • Ability to collaborate with developers for firewall rule creation and log troubleshooting.
  • Experience in regulated environments with security-related technologies.
  • Scripting Languages: Python, PowerShell, JSON, YAML.
  • Automation Tools: Terraform, Ansible.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of Service Mesh Technology and Network Security Best Practices.
  • Familiarity with Linux, MS Windows, and VMware environments.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive approach.
  • Agile / Scrum methodology experience (plus).
