Essential Functions. Minister to and chart, when necessary, each patients spiritual and emotional needs as warranted by initial and ongoing spiritual assessment. Provide pastoral crisis counseling and make referrals as deemed necessary to other members of the departments staff. Support and comfort bereaved families and anxious patients who are preparing for surgery or have anxieties after surgery and facilitate weekly grief and oncology support groups.
