Description - What You Will Be Doing
- Conduct routine and advanced laboratory tests-covering areas like chemistry, hematology, and immunology-following established protocols.
- Evaluate test results for reliability, identify and troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform routine maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
- Support specimen collection and preparation for testing as needed.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all procedures, mentor new staff members, and contribute to upholding our lab's quality assurance standards.
- Ensure the laboratory is tidy, safe, and compliant with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) is required within one year of employment.
- Ongoing certification maintenance is necessary throughout your tenure.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve in fast-paced environments.
