The Senior Manager of Accounts Receivable is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts receivable process to ensure timely and accurate collection of company revenues. This role involves managing a team, improving cash flow, minimizing risk, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Oversee daily operations of the accounts receivable department, including billing, collections, credit management, and cash application.
Lead and mentor a team of AR specialists and analysts, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Develop and implement AR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Monitor aging reports, identify risks, and develop strategies for reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, legal, etc.) to resolve billing and payment issues.
Establish credit limits, assess customer creditworthiness, and oversee credit risk management practices.
Prepare and present regular AR performance reports to leadership.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards GAAP) internal controls, and audit requirements.
Manage relationships with key customers to ensure positive payment experiences and resolve disputes.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
Identify and implement automation or system improvements to streamline AR processes.
SME of AR systems, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, NetSuite), and financial reporting tools.
Other duties as deemed necessary.
Minimum Education: BA/BS degree in a related field
