1. Provide strong academic leadership in curriculum design and the formulation of effective teaching and learning practices.
2. Support the department in developing and implementing enhancement strategies in English language teaching and learning.
3. Advise and guide teaching teams on successful pedagogical practices and assessment methods to improve learning outcomes.
4. Observe and assess teaching and learning processes.
5. Coach teachers and provide support as needed.
6. Foster a culture of teamwork and lead the English language team in a cross-cultural setting.
7. Deliver speeches related to student enrollment and graduation.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in language education or applied linguistics.
2. Professional qualification in teaching Junior and Senior High level students is an advantage; preference given to candidates with relevant training and experience with these age groups.
Experience:
1. Over 5 years of teaching EFL, with preference for those experienced in Junior and Senior High settings.
2. Over 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
3. Experience working in a cross-cultural environment is an asset.
Knowledge / Skills:
1. Strong organizational and management skills.
2. Understanding of outstanding teaching and learning practices and ability to implement them.
3. Ability to coach and mentor teachers.
4. Ability to establish good working relationships with staff.
5. Knowledge of current developments in Junior and Senior High education and broader educational issues.
