Dosimetrist, FT, Piedmont Columbus John B. Amos Cancer Center, "On site only"

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Measuring and generating radiation dose distributions and calculations under the direction of the Radiation Physicist and Radiation Oncologist.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Certified Medical Dosimetrist by the MDCB (Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Certified Medical Dosimetrist by the MDCB (Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Understands the technical aspects of radiation therapy treatments and communicates these aspects to the radiation oncology and the radiation therapist. Thoroughly familiar with the physical and geometric characteristics of radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly employed. Up-to-date knowledge of current trends in the field of radiation oncology.
