TITLE: Transportation Driver

REPORTS TO: Administrator/ Transportation Supervisor

Non-Exempt

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide transportation safely and timely, per established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Communicate with the dispatcher on Two-Way Radio

2. Be able to operate a Hydraulic Lift.

3. Report to Dispatcher and pick up patient schedule daily.

4. Transport patients to and from doctors' appointments.

5. Inspect the van daily. (ex: check oil, tires, first aid kit & fire extinguisher)

6. Ensure that seat belts secure all passengers.

7. Other related duties and responsibilities may become necessary to ensure that the facility's needs are met.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS:

• Highly focused and strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the public.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be a minimum of 25 years of age.

2. Must have CPR and First Aid License.

3. Must have clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations or 1 at fault accident in a 7-year period.

4. Must be able to operate a tablet and complete computer trainings

This position is highly physical, with frequent bending, pushing, and lifting of approximately 75 pounds or more multiple times a day in a vehicle.
