Columbus Technical College is seeking a dedicated part-time Para-Professional to support our Adult Education Program. This role involves assisting multiple instructors in delivering comprehensive educational and functional training to adult learners in both morning and evening classes. Key responsibilities include administering TABE testing, preparing instructional materials, conducting student orientations, maintaining student records, and ensuring a clean and organized learning environment. This is a part-time, non-exempt position.
Please note the following information regarding this position:
a) May be assigned to work at any location on or off campus within our service delivery area. (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County)
b) May require travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support to Adult Education instructors.
- Develop instructional materials tailored to student needs.
- Analyze student performance data to monitor progress and adjust individualized learning plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate student records and submit required reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Evaluate program effectiveness in meeting community needs.
- Promote Adult Education programs to public and private organizations and the general public.
- Utilize effective written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six (6) months of related work experience.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Availability for both day and evening hours.
Preferred Qualifications:- Prior experience (paid or unpaid) in Adult Education.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Familiarity with TABE Online Software and the GALIS data system.
- Experience using standard office equipment.
Salary/Benefits:$13 per hour. No benefits
