Delta Apparel, Inc., along with its operating subsidiaries, DTG2Go, LLC, Salt Life, LLC, and M.J. Soffe, LLC, is a vertically-integrated, international apparel company that designs, manufactures, sources, and markets a diverse portfolio of core activewear and lifestyle apparel products under the primary brands of Salt Life, COAST, Soffe, and Delta.

Delta Apparel is seeking an **Inventory Accountant** to join our growing team in Duluth, GA location. The ideal candidate will assist in all aspects of inventory accounting and general accounting. Primary responsibilities will include reconciling and managing inventory. Provide monthly inventory analytics to leadership. The Accountant will be skilled in time management, organization, communication, and the ability to execute an assignment through to completion. This position will report directly to the Controller and will also interact with upper management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal are a must.

**Core Responsibilities**

* Responsible for analysis and reporting of inventory

* Own monthly account reconciliations for inventory and other miscellaneous accruals.

* Partner with IT and platforms to understand all inventory transactions.

* Work closely with IT and accounting on other inventory interfaces feeding into system

* Ownership of various miscellaneous accruals and applicable reconciliations

* Responsible for preparation of year-end audit work papers and responses to audit inquiries regarding inventory

* Ad-hoc project completion and continuous process improvement initiatives

* Other duties as assigned.

**Education & Experience**

* Bachelors degree with a concentration in accounting

* 2+ years of accounting experience

* Knowledge and understanding of Sarbanes Oxley

* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

* Must have strong/advanced Excel skills

* Must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills

* Proficient in accounting software and ability to apply basic accounting concepts

* Detail oriented with strong work ethic

* The desire to identify and implement process improvements

* Must have strong communication and organizational skills

* Able to handle highly sensitive and confidential information

* Work with a consistent sense of urgency and attention to detail

* Able to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations

* Team player and ready to assist where needed.
