The engineer will work closely with calibration, software, and mechanical teams to develop high‑performance, reliable, and repeatable aftermarket solutions using OEM engine management systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and validate engine calibrations for turbocharged and naturally aspirated gasoline engines using OEM ECUsPerform vehicle and chassis dynamometer testing, including setup, operation, and data collectionCalibrate EFI systems to meet performance, drivability, reliability, and emissions targetsAnalyze test data to diagnose issues and optimize calibration strategiesSupport software integration, calibration management, and product releasesDevelop and maintain calibration files for European vehicle platformsTroubleshoot and resolve calibration or system‑related issues in existing productsUtilize internal and third‑party tools for calibration, data acquisition, and analysisCreate and improve testing procedures, tools, and best practicesGenerate and present technical reports and documentationCollaborate with cross‑functional engineering teamsMaintain calibration equipment and ensure dyno/test areas are organized and safeSupport compliance with applicable emissions standardsParticipate in additional projects as assignedRequired Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field OR minimum 1+ year of experience in gasoline EFI calibrationStrong understanding of internal combustion engine theory and operationExperience with vehicle instrumentation, data acquisition, and calibration toolsExperience with vehicle flashing/programming tools and processesHands‑on experience with dynamometer testing (setup, operation, vehicle handling)Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot calibration or system issuesProficiency with standard PC software (e.g., Excel, data analysis tools)Strong analytical skills and attention to detailEffective written and verbal communication skillsSelf‑motivated with the ability to work independently and within a teamValid driver's license and ability to be insuredPreferred Qualifications & ExperienceExperience with ECU calibration on European platforms (Bosch MED17, MG1, Simos, etc.)Transmission calibration experience (ZF8, DSG/DL501)Experience with decompilation/disassembly tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra)Experience with hex editing tools (WinOLS, Hex Workshop, etc.)Familiarity with databases and data formats (SQL, SQLite, XML)Experience with hybrid or advanced powertrain systemsHands‑on experience building or modifying performance vehiclesStrong passion for automotive performance and aftermarket tuningStrong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentTeam‑oriented with the ability to collaborate across departmentsHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and accountabilityCommitment to safety and quality standardsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsCombination of office, dyno lab, and warehouse environmentsExposure to varying temperatures and occasional loud noiseAbility to lift up to 25 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work on a computer for long durationsAbility to operate in a hands‑on automotive testing environmentHolley is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
