Most programs work from 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunch break.Pay : $33,072 per yearThe Financial Insurance Clerk will work in the CareLogic EHR System and will support the behavioral health revenue cycle by verifying benefits, maintaining accurate financial records within the CareLogic electronic health record platform, resolving billing issues, as well as processing insurance claims. This role will work closely with the intake teams, insurance companies, and clinical staff to ensure clean claims and timely reimbursement.Job ResponsibilitiesVerify client insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage requirements.Enter and maintain payer updates in CareLogic.Review claims for accuracy prior to claim submission.Submit electronic claims for Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial, and Managed Care plans.Monitor claim status and resolve rejected, or unpaid claims.Research billing discrepancies and correct claim errors.Assist patients with billing questions, payment plans, and insurance explanations.High school diploma or GED. One (1) to three (3) years' experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or behavioral health revenue cycle experience.Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with limited supervision. Must be detail oriented. Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, time management skills, and customer service skills. Must be able to work with and around others in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical billing, or related field. Experience with behavioral health or community mental health agencies.Preferred Knowledge & SkillsKnowledge of behavioral health billing practices and revenue cycle managementUnderstanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and authorization processExperience using EHR systems, preferably CareLogic.Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance billingStrong organizational skills and detailsEffective communication and customer service skillsProficiency in billing reports#J-18808-Ljbffr
