Room to grow and earn within the firm if desired and motivated.Primary Responsibilities for Senior AccountantPerforming account analysis and reconciliationsMaintaining general ledger and managing month end, quarter end or year-end closing processSummarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reportsResearch accounting and tax matters in order to summarize results and propose resolutionsComply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislationGuide junior/staff accountants and other staff by answering questions and coordinating informational classesDevelop and sustain strong client relationshipsRespond to client inquires and taxing authority noticesPerform other accounting and tax duties as assignedQualifications:We are excited to welcome an enthusiastic professional with an upbeat outlook to join our team and actively respond to the needs of our growing client base.Strong candidates for this position should be motivated, reliable and possess:A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related major is required, CPA preferredTwo - five years prior experience in public accounting, is preferredThree years prior experience with CCH Axcess and QuickBooks requiredStrong knowledge of tax laws and GAAPExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex informationKnowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word requiredAbility to demonstrate sound judgment and to analyze problems logically and comprehensively, distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant informationAbility to work effectively in a team environment as well as independentlyAbility to handle sensitive/confidential matters in a tactful and discreet mannerStrong inter-personal skills, including the capability to effectively present information and respond to clients' needs#J-18808-Ljbffr
